The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a major surprise for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' saying that draws so many fans into the NFL

That result may have opened opportunities for the Patriots to creep back into a top spot they formerly held, with a schedule that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 competitors

Meanwhile in the NFC the Seahawks and Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a bad day for Buffalo?

Was it just an emotional letdown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or something more? That's the question for the Buffalo team to answer

The Buffalo squad had won seven in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 victors in an eye-opening result - and performance

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the squad's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - yes Miami had 10 days to get ready but it was still a significant failure laid by one of the NFL's top offences

Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdowns but running back De'Von Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was also key, with Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their fewest of the year and just over half their 161.5-yard season average

Additionally there were the three critical turnovers, and the pair from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute possession produced nothing, and his final quarter dropped ball that Miami turned into a touchdown just later

It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Josh Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team out of it - not the calm, disciplined, well-balanced Bills we've seen this season

Miami have served up a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the start of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East

Spotlight - New England Identify Route to Unexpected First Place

Speaking of the New England, they're one of three different eight and two squads in the league, all AFC sides, but could they be the best?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, the Broncos and Indianapolis actually for feasting on the lesser sides, with only five of their combined twenty-four victories achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one example was the Colts defeating the Denver

The Broncos beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the fourth-quarter while Indy can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their primtime success in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration

Their pair of losses occurred in recently appointed coach Vrabel's first three contests, with seven straight wins, just like Denver, since then - but defeating Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a week off to prepare was huge

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he definitely deserves point for courage after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa but persevering to guide his side to victory

The defense is reliable and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson burst onto the scene on game day with 147 yards and two exciting scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22mph this season on his first score

Although you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the best record thanks to their schedule - which features just one game against a winning team, although a significant contest against Buffalo

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the same problem) and also the Packers on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also play the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to face. There's a long way to go but the door is open for a shock number one position in the AFC

Coming Up - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Clash

Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who both put up 40 burgers to go to 7-2 before next week's major meeting between the pair in LA

They've both secured four victories in a row, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a contest

Each could easily be undefeated as too - especially the Rams as their pair of losses occurred in overtime against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a game-winning kick with the final play deflected and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

The Seahawks also lost to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are truly among the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the most exciting of the year to date
