Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who breached a barricade and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.
