The Former President's Framework of Consequences and Incentives

Trump's voracious desire for retribution has quickly transformed into a structured system. Over the twelve months, the chief executive's rage and whims have adopted the shape of government actions in ways analogous to historical authoritarian governments. Government officials who do not cooperate are promptly fired and substituted by supporters. Critical leaders who challenge him face indictment, trial and punishment. Critics have been categorized under administration directives as “unpatriotic”, “anti-Christian” and “against free markets”, and warned with criminal charges as “extremists”.

Federal Agencies Transformed

Every instance involving legal action of critics and immunity for his allies exhibits its own distinct features. However, despite their particular form, they embody manifestations of what has developed as a deliberate method. Such events are anything but isolated. The administration's cleansing of federal lawyers and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, coupled with his installation of devotees in high-level positions, started rapidly, quickly assumed a consistency, and has now been shaped into a system. DoJ and the Federal Bureau have been restructured into ideological agencies under Trump's direct direction to execute his demands. Injustice has been made routine. It constitutes the retribution system.

Administration is more concerned with punishing the leader's supposed adversaries than they are with defending our country's safety.

Within the System

The beginnings of this system has been uncovered in the court filing of multiple ex- senior FBI officials filed in late summer in the federal court in DC against top official Kash Patel and attorney general a key figure for illegal termination in “a campaign of retribution against them for what Defendants considered to be a refusal to exhibit proper allegiance”. According to the filing that a former acting director, the previous acting FBI director, describes a discussion in which he “freely confessed the impropriety of his conduct”.

He had sought to defend agency personnel from being terminated, the filing states. He told him that “administration officials” – understood by the official to be the White House and federal prosecutors – had directed him to dismiss anyone who they considered as having worked on a criminal investigation against Trump. The complaint continues: “The director explained that he had to terminate the personnel his leaders told him to fire, because his capacity to retain his own role depended on the removal of the agents who were involved in cases involving the chief executive. He explained that there was nothing he or Driscoll could do to halt these or any other terminations, because ‘the agency sought to place the chief in prison and he recalls it clearly.’” When the official advised Patel he was breaking the agency's own regulations, he allegedly said “he knew that and he knew the character of the immediate dismissals were likely illegal”.

Broad Effects

Since his claimed acknowledgment to the official, the justice department and the Federal Bureau have been dismantled and reorganized for his retribution system. Six of the FBI's high-ranking agents were dismissed or pushed out in the early weeks of the government. Approximately numerous legal professionals at DoJ have accepted a “early exit scheme”. A minimum of several DoJ lawyers, such as those in the New York office, quit in protest over what they viewed as political interference in dropping the legal action against the local official, a political figure, in exchange for his collaboration with the administration's Immigration and Customs Enforcement roundups of foreign nationals. The public integrity section of DoJ, which oversees misconduct investigations, has been cut down to two attorneys. The civil rights division has been severely reduced: the majority of its personnel has resigned. A third of executives at the justice department have resigned. The unit enforcing conservation statutes has seen departures of half its management.

Rewards and Punishments

In the Adams case, the temporary lawyer for the NY office, the official, resigned in protest against what she labeled as the “exchange”. The border official, the president's “immigration leader,” was present as the agent with the mayor on television to announce: “Unless he complies, I'll be back in NYC.”. Additionally, a former official, previously the justice department figure and a former Trump attorney, who arranged the deal, was awarded an judicial position, a possible stepping stone to the highest court.

The president's immunity for crimes carried out while in office, awarded by the unprecedented judgment of the Republican majority on the highest court, thus thwarting his legal action over the political violence and preserving his political viability for the presidential race, is the basis on which he stands to protect his stalwarts. Given this protection, he has been freed to authorize wrongdoing. The effect of the court judgment infuses his administration and the political party thoroughly. Trump v United States has spread. Similar to a past leader's White House counsel he said about the Watergate
