England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.

The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
